#ForeverInMotion

We know 2020 hasn’t been the best year for you, trust us, it hasn’t been great for us either. Considering that we still have to move on and be optimistic about the brand new year, we have already created your travel list for 2021. All you need to do is pack your traveling bags and your buddies like water bottles, coffee mugs, cups, or tumblers, and put on your favorite pair of track pants and T-shirt, and get going.

Check the list here:

  1. Andaman Islands

Starting from the South of India, Andaman Islands go further down Kanyakumari. It is where you will find crystal clear water, clear blue skies, tropical forests, and beaches - if you’re someone who finds harmony in the sea, the Andaman Islands is the perfect place for you. The good news is it is a cluster of about 39 islands - making it a backpacker’s paradise.

So, pack your bags, water bottle, and a pair of flip-flop slippers to visit this land of uber serenity.

Best time to visit: November to mid-May
Activities: Scuba diving, snorkeling, parasailing, jet-skiing, speed-walking, sport fishing, and more

  2. Leh, Ladakh

From the deep South, let’s travel to the North. As a travel enthusiast myself, Leh is literally on the top of my list of the places I want to visit next. Although, I agree that it might only suit those who don’t consider Mumbai’s winters chilly (pun intended!!). Well, here you can enjoy movie-like bike rides, trek in beautiful mountains, and if you’re lucky, you can spot a snow leopard on safari.

Best time to visit: April to May | September to October
Activities: River rafting, mountain biking, camel safari, ice-skating, camping, trekking, and more

  3. Sikkim

Honestly speaking, one can’t digest the beauty and serenity of this place that’s full of spirituality and monasteries. Say whatever you can, Sikkim nothing less than what you can call “Yeh toh India lag he nahi raha!” place. The warmth, love, and affection that nature and the people here provide you with is something you can never get enough of. For sure, you will not want to come back from here. Believe it or not, Sikkim is nothing short of an international trip – only cheaper and Indian.

Best time to visit: March to June and September to December
Activities: Paragliding and hang gliding, rock climbing, yak safari, helicopter ride, caving

  4. Shimla

There’s an unspoken setting in many people’s mindsets – to celebrate the Christmas-New Year’s week in Shimla – and trust me, it’s a hundred percent worth it. Mall Road, Christ Church, the entire city looks pretty as a huge Christmas tree, all the more better with a low temperature and a possibility of snowfall.

Best time to visit: December to February
Activities: Toy train ride, Chadwick waterfall, Jakhu Temple (full of monkeys), skiing, trekking, camping, and much more

  5. Ziro Valley, Arunachal Pradesh

Personifying north-eastern beauty, Ziro is a relatively unpopular tourist place. If you’re looking for a green, colourful place rather than something laden with white snow, Ziro is where you need to be. It’s basically a nature-lover’s paradise. Ziro is especially known for the Ziro Festival of Music, which unfortunately did not happen in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions but is expected to happen and hopefully shall happen in 2021.

Best time to visit: Evergreen – Visit anytime!
Activities and attractions: Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary,  Shiva Linga, Music Festival, Pine Grove, Panyor river festival, trekking, camping

  6.  Srinagar, Kashmir

Those who visit Kashmir literally describe as Heaven on Earth. I don’t disregard or dispute these claims because they’re so damn true. Although we have been talking about other heavenly places as well, and they all are special in their own perfect ways, Kashmir yet stands out. Standing at the top of the country as its head and pride, that it deserves all the credit it gets will be an understatement. In short – you must visit this place at least once in life.

Best time to visit: April to October
Activities and attractions: Trekking, birdwatching, skiing, rafting, staying in a houseboat, Shikara on Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens, and much, much more.

  7. Khajjiar

Although a ‘small’ town in Himachal Pradesh, Khajjiar is known as the Mini Switzerland of India. Talk about the diversity of our country and we have this beauty that features dense forests, lakes, as well as wide pasture lands! The most famous it is for is the Khajji Nag Temple, which goes as back as the 12th century in time and worships a serpent deity.

Best time to visit: Through the year
Activities and attractions: Paragliding, zorbing, horse-riding, lord Shiva Statue, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, Khajjiar Lake

  8. Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari is the southernmost point of the country and the most interesting thing about this beauty is that you can see three oceans meeting in front of your eyes – the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean – Treveni Sangam. It is nothing short of a miracle – the oceans meet but never the waters never mix and it can be seen clearly. Also, you will see multi-coloured sand at the beaches here!

Best time to visit: Through the year
Attractions: Best sunsets and sunrises, Kummari Amman Temple (300 years old), Vattakottai Fort and beach, Padmanabhapuram Palace, Thovalai Flower Market, Vivekananda Rock Memorial

  9.  Binsar

Situated in the Kumaoni region of Almora, Binsar is all about jungles, chills, heights, peace, and wildlife. You might, however, debate on how wildlife can be peaceful, this place is the answer. Binsar undoubtedly can be a trip of your lifetime.

Best time to visit: October to November
Activities, attractions, and wildlife: Camping and Safari; Zero Point, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, Bineshwar Mahadev Temple; leapord, flying squirrel, and porcupine are some animals you can spot
  10. Kanatal

Camping. It. Is.Kanatal is one of the best places you can visit in 2021 if you are a camping fanatic. Take a Friday off and go on a weekend to the Kanatal escape and forget that you have a stressful work life. You will come back refreshed and rejuvenated. Camping is not only fun, it’s whole another experience; it teaches you the basics and survival strategies after all – so out and open in the nature you can barely remember the stresses of life!

Best time to visit: April to June
Activities and attractions: Camping, trekking, skywalking,; Surkanda Devi Temple, Kodia Jungle, New Tehri Dam and Lake

  11. Special Mention: Udaipur

Touted as the Venice of the East, Udaipur, Rajasthan, is the city of lakes. You can find one of the best luxury heritage hotels of India in this city that can suit our pockets. If you’re someone who loves and cherishes history and the royal architecture and reign, you must come here.

Best time to visit: September to March
Activities and attractions: Boating; Gangaur Ghat, Lake Pichola, City Palace, Jagdish Temple
